Adventure Learning

The Oxford English Dictionary defines adventures as “unusual and exciting or daring experiences” and learning as “the acquisition of knowledge or skills through study, experience or being taught”.

The Crystal Palace and its grounds were built to be a place for learning and themed around discovery and invention, a place where people could come to enjoy unusual, exciting and daring experiences as a way of  “instruction”.

Adventure Learning – Crystal Palace harnesses the park’s natural environment, the amazing history of the palace and its grounds and its relics of instruction to offer unusual and exciting and sometimes daring curriculum linked outdoor experiences as a way to support teaching and learning in the classroom.

These often take the form of individual or team challenges that have been designed with teachers to help bring classroom studies to life.

Adventures slot into school curriculum maps and meet teacher learning objective fsor their class. They can be a standalone or part of a multi session programme.
